Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:30 PM
Description:
 Winter Seed Sowing

Learn this easy method of seed starting with Master Gardener, Jan Gricus. Seeds are planted during the cold winter months in "mini greenhouses" made from plastic recycled containers. The seeds germinate outside and are ready to transplant when the weather is right in Spring.

Since 1971, this club has been teaching members about building soil quality and taking care of garden pests naturally. A well-run ecological garden attracts birds and beneficial insects that help keep pests to a minimum and pollinate the plants. The programs are hosted by the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Carol Stream Public Library.

Location: Combined Room (Discovery & Horizon)
