The presenters will discuss and explain a lesson plan developed to expand studentsí view of scholarly outputs and the process of information creation. Based on constructivist learning theory, the lesson includes a group activity and class discussion where students analyze a diverse set of documents to determine the relationships between them and discuss their roles in the research and scholarly publication process. Adaptations of the lesson plan used in various disciplines will also be shared.
