Often considered an anthropological mystery lost in the vast South Pacific, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) has been the subject of much controversy, speculation and invention. However, recent multi-disciplinary research has shed light onto many aspects of this ancient Polynesian culture. This presentation paints a picture of the current archaeological knowledge of Easter Island and showcases the Island’s 1,000 years of culture and history. Registration is required.
