Join us for a lively discussion of Denis Johnson's Train Dreams. This "epic in miniature" novella by the National Book Award winner is a haunting look back at America's expansionist era. At the turn of the century, orphaned Robert Grainier ends up in Idaho and in time becomes an itinerant railroad laborer, witnessing the grandeur of the West and the havoc generated by technological advances. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.
