Join us to discuss When the Killings Done by T. C. Boyle. Two environmentalists square off over the best means to further their goals. Alma is a biologist willing to sacrifice the rats on a California island in order to save its fragile ecosystem. Dave is a passionate animal rights activist who believes all creatures deserve saving. Through complex characters this suspenseful novel raises interesting questions about ecology, conservation, and interpersonal relations. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.
