 Meet the cast of Playwright Matthew Lopezís award-winning work, The Whipping Man, which addresses Judaism in the American Civil War and its aftermath. Kristin Leahey will lead a discussion on issues raised in the play including race, religion, and responsibility. Enter a drawing to win a pair of tickets to the play.

Play synopsis: When Caleb, a wounded Confederate soldier returns to his familyís home at the end of the Civil War, he finds it in ruins and abandoned by all but two former slaves. United by their Jewish faith, the three men celebrate a Seder while wrestling with a shared past they canít escapeóand secrets they can no longer hide. Slavery and war, they discover, warp even good menís souls.
