 CANCELLED-Professor of Social Science and History, Richard Stacewicz, of Oakton Community College, will explore the “Great War” in 2 lectures. Suggested background reading lists are available at the Library or online at “WPL Staff Picks”.
The War impacted combatants and millions of people across the globe and transformed the global landscape in unexpected ways. The geopolitical, societal and personal consequences of the conflict will be examined as well as how it influenced the course of 20th century history.
