Holocaust Survivors Remember

 Children during the Holocaust, Sheila Gerber and Gitta Fajerstein tell their stories of survival. Gitta was born in Berlin and in 1939, the Gestapo arrested her father and murdered him. Gitta and her sister were smuggled into Holland and began their harrowing journey to escape the Nazis. Sheila was born in Lithuania in the Kovno Ghetto. She was smuggled out and raised by a Lithuanian farm family but her parents were killed by the Nazis. This event is part of the One Book, Everybody Reads series.
