This book is the 5th one in Lauren Willig's Pink Carnation series. This series combines romance and espionage (albeit from the early 1800's)and is quite charming. All the books are quick reads and if you're looking for something fun to read this series is good.

This book was ok. Parts were very funny, but I thought the characters spent too long explaining the science of what was going on and it still wasn't logical or made sense. And it was a little too romance paperback cheesey for me. If that's your thing though, you'll love this. Did I mention the love interest's name is Jeff Martini?

This was a great audio book. The narrator, Jeff Woodman, did a fantastic performance of all the characters. And he definitely made the book funnier as you heard his tone, especially when performing The Colonel.

The story follows Pudge as he leaves his public high school to go to a boarding school where he hopes to make friends and start something great in his life. It follows his junior year there and the friends he makes, the pranks they pull, and the crushes he has. Pudge loves last words so he reads biographies to find out famous people's last words. I found those parts of the book very interesting.

I highly recommend this book/audio book to anyone who wants to enjoy a story about a high school kid, unsure of himself, trying to make his way through life.

A new mystery series, Donut Shop Mysteries, features the typical female protagonist who can't butt out of a murder investigation. There's also the typical budding romance story line. However it was cute and I think I'll give the 2nd book in the series a try as Suzanne Hart didn't annoy me too much.
