I Dwell in Possibility: An Intimate Evening with Emily Dickinson

Event Type: Special Event
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 7/17/2013
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:15 PM
Description:
Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) was a prolific private poet whose poems questioned the nature of immortality and death. Yet much about her life and work is misunderstood. She lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life, and was considered eccentric because of her penchant for white clothing and her reluctance to greet guests and, later in life, leave her room. Chicago actress Betsey Means brings to life America’s most loved woman poet.
