 Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, in 1912 for a local Girl Scout meeting, believing that all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. Today, the Girl Scouts organization continues its commitment to diversity and inclusiveness around the globe. Chicago actress Betsey Means brings this amazing woman’s story to life on the 100th anniversary of its founding. Girl Scout cookies will be served by the Friends of the Library.
