Three of the most influential American landscape designers created large, enduring projects in the Chicago area. Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, designers of New York's Central Park, planned the town of Riverside. O. C. Simonds developed much of Graceland Cemetery, remodeled Lincoln Park and created hundreds of other projects utilizing native Illinois plants. Jens Jensen brought the prairie into Chicago's west parks and helped save the Indiana dunes. Join Landscape Historian Barbara Geiger to learn the stories of how these three pioneers who helped shaped Chicago.
