Program Information
The 2013 Summer Reading Program has ended. We'll see you in 2014!

The Teens SRP is for teens entering 7th grade - graduated seniors.

See Printables to print out your reading log or pick one up at the library. Adobe Reader is needed to view and print out the Summer Reading forms.

For every five hours of reading you log, you will be eligible to pick up a prize at the library. You can choose a free paperback book, coupons from local businesses, or other prizes, for a total of five check-ins and 25 hours of reading. If you complete all five check-ins by August 5, you’re entered into the final drawing for a chance to win a Nook HD Tablet and lots of other great prizes!

Any kind of reading counts towards your hours - this includes books, magazines, newspapers, and audiobooks. If you are going on vacation or will be gone for part of the summer, please talk to someone at the check-in desk - we will make sure you can complete the program.

If you write a brief review of a book you read for the program by Wednesday, July 3, you can choose to enter a drawing for a gift basket. Several runners up will win pool passes. You can submit your review online through Summer Reader, or come in to the library to pick up a book review sheet to fill out. If you choose to enter a book review online, just click "Add/View log", and change the dropdown menu from "Hours" to "Review", then click where it says "Click here to enter your review". When you're done, click "Save", and you're all set!

If you have any questions about the program please email Teen Services Librarian Kristi Cates at kcates@normalpl.org.
Reviews
Review
I really enjoyed The Seven Wonders because it started out as a normal day. Then the normal day turned into the weirdest day of Jacks (the main character)life. He learned he had a special condition and he would become a super hero. I got sucked into this book because it was humorous, life like, and adventurous. Can't wait to read the next!
